This groundbreaking discovery, derived from a study of a unique Colombian family with a history of early-onset Alzheimer’s, opens up new possibilities for targeting specific brain regions, such as the entorhinal cortex, and pathways to develop therapies that could delay or stop the progression of Alzheimer's disease, challenging previous assumptions about the disease and its progression.
