SEEKING ENERGY-EFFICIENT WINDOWS, HARVARD LAB FINDS INSPIRATION IN SQUID

This article was about how a team at Harvard developed an energy-efficient prototype window that can control sunlight and heat by mimicking the way biological organisms regulate their internal climate. Additionally, using layers filled with different fluids allows to change the light intensity, spectrum, and direction. This window can lessen the need for artificial lighting and heating as well as save energy.
